This Lafayette Residence project involved the addition of a second story to an existing ranch house. Set in the wooded hills of Lafayette, the client wanted to open the house to the surrounding greenery while maintaining privacy. A single-loaded stairway was wrapped against refinished, minimal walls which were punched with high windows to create a light-filled vertical corridor to the new 2nd-floor story.
