China Harbor Restaurant

China Harbor Restaurant is a 10,000 SF restaurant set in a high-traffic commercial plaza and sits in a prominent visual position. Being highly viewable from the street, the client wanted the restaurant to light up as a lantern to attract customers into its premises. The project takes influence from Chinese culture and is represented in the use of bamboo ceiling panels and material choices. The project’s center piece is the highly dynamic translucent ceiling located over the buffet kiosks. This rippled surface becomes an interesting background to the activity in the restaurant.
